WEST COLUMBIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the West Columbia Police Department. Our department serves a community of about 18,000 residents as well as the many motorists who travel through our city daily. We are committed to providing the highest level of professionalism and service.
WEST COLUMBIA FIRE DEPARTMENT
The West Columbia Fire Department is a career, urban fire department that is ready to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day. The department provides fire protection to the City’s approximately 18,000 residents in its 8.9 square miles. Our department takes pride in serving the citizens and visitors of the City of West Columbia.
CITY COUNCIL
There are nine council members, including the mayor. They are elected on alternating terms. Each council member has one vote. The City Administrator is appointed by the Council and is responsible for administering the policy of the council and supervising city employees.
