Recycling and Drug Take-Back Day at City Hall

West Columbia’s Public Works, Police Department, and Fire Department will hold a joint recycling day at City Hall on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. On this day the City will be collecting recyclable trash items, recycling prescription drugs as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, and shredding documents through the shred truck on site.

The following items can be recycled:
electronics, paint, batteries, tires, used oil, appliances, scrap metal, and aluminum cans.

All metal and aluminum items that can be recycled for this event will be donated to the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund.
