River District Officers

The West Columbia Police Department employs two full-time police officers who patrol the West Columbia Riverwalk and the River District Area.
The City of West Columbia is situated along eight miles of the beautiful lower Saluda and Congaree Rivers. It offers kayaking, canoeing, tubing, parks, waterfront concerts, and 8 ½ miles of walking and biking trails.  This area is directly next to a well-equipped community park and blocks of shopping, dining, and entertainment establishments.
The River District Officers exclusively patrol these areas to provide a safe environment for fun and relaxation. They operate under the direction of Sergeant Hammill, who can be reached at (803) 794-0721, Ext. 825.
