Mickey Pringle was born in Sanford, Florida. After graduating from Seminole High School he traveled to South Carolina State on a football scholarship. While attending South Carolina State, he met his wife Belinda of 40 years. They moved to Augusta, GA, where their daughter Shaneaqua was born, and Mickey began his coaching and teaching career. In 1988, his family moved to West Columbia, SC, and he continued his career in Richland School District One, Fairfield County, and Bamberg School District Two. As a coach, Mickey served as the head boys basketball coach, defensive coordinator, and head football coach. Mickey holds a B.S. Degree from SC State and two Master Degrees from Grand Canyon University. He was in administration for 16 years, with the last eight being the principal at Denmark-Olar, in Bamberg County, SC. He is currently the City Councilman for West Columbia District Five.
