West Columbia Community Center

Location: 754 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169

The West Columbia Community Center is a meeting facility available to in-city residents only and is suitable for hosting a variety of activities such as birthday parties, reunions, and other similar events. The rental fee is $150 / day and due at the time of application. Twelve (12) six-foot tables are available for use along with sixty-two (62) chairs. Setup and takedown will be the responsibility of the lessee (renter). The maximum capacity for the Community Center is 193 – people standing only; 150 – people sitting classroom style; 73 – people sitting using tables and chairs. A full kitchen is also available; however, all kitchen supplies and utensils must be provided by the lessee. The lessee is the responsible party and must be present at the event or function at all times. The lessee is responsible for cleaning up and removing all trash and debris at the end of the event or function, which includes sweeping and/or mopping floors and cleaning kitchen appliances if used (cleaning supplies are the responsibility of the lessee).

Renting the facility: A potential lessee, who lives *within the city limits, may call Colleen Otte at (803) 936-6279, or email her at, to confirm the availability of the Community Center for the date(s) needed. If the Center is available, the lessee will need to come to City Hall (200 N. 12th St., West Columbia, SC 29169) to sign the rental agreement. At that time, the lessee must present a picture ID showing the current address, and pay the rental fee of $150/day.
