Brookland United Methodist Church Makes Lunch for all City of West Columbia Essential Workers

West Columbia, SC (May 22, 2020, at 2:53 PM) – Brookland United Methodist Church reached out to the City of West Columbia and prepared boxed lunches for all City of West Columbia essential personnel on Friday, May 22, 2020. Employees, not working remotely, throughout the City of West Columbia Departments including Police, Fire, Sanitation, Parks, Maintenance, Water/Sewer, Water Plants, Finance, Building, Customer Service, Planning and Zoning, Court, and Administration stopped by Brookland United Methodist Church to pick up a freshly made hot dog, hamburger, dessert, and drink combo boxed lunch.

Mayor Tem Miles said, “We are so thankful for the folks at Brookland United Methodist Church for taking the time to provide lunch for our essential workers and to say thank you. The workers of West Columbia have given so much during this pandemic to keep services running. It is great that citizens are willing to say thank you to these people who have worked hard for them every day.”
