West Columbia, SC (April 16, 2024, at 10:37 AM) – Take pride in the West Side! The City of West Columbia’s City Wide Litter Pick-Day is next Saturday, April 27, 2024. Volunteers will meet at City Hall, 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC, at 9 AM, and disperse to different areas of the city for litter pick-up. Bring a team! Ask friends, co-workers, church, school, clubs, and athletic teams; every litter bit counts! Volunteers must sign up in advance at http://bit.ly/LitterPickup, no later than Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5 PM. A reusable shopping bag will be given to the first 150 volunteers.
The West Columbia Police Department is participating in the National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. There will be several convenient locations throughout West Columbia for residents to safely dispose of unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
