City of West Columbia Sends Three Competitors for National Public Works Week Regional Backhoe Rodeo

West Columbia, SC (May 24, 2018 at 3:10 PM) – The City of West Columbia is sending the top three competitors from Monday’s Backhoe Rodeo competition to the Midlands Regional Competition at the City of Columbia Public Works Facility, 2910 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC, on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 10 AM. Chris Cranford (1st Place) , Ashton Miles (2nd Place), and Derek Cothran (3rd Place) from the Water/Sewer Division will represent the City of West Columbia.

The Backhoe Rodeo competition is in celebration of Public Works Week. Over 20 Municipal and County employees from around the region will compete Friday to demonstrate accuracy and precision skills with the use of a backhoe.
