Further Information on Annual Backflow Testing

Annual backflow test letters have been mailed to customers on the City of West Columbia water system.  If you receive one of these letters and have an irrigation system, building sprinkler system, or swimming pool, a backflow prevention device is required to be installed to protect the City water supply and must be tested annually to ensure that it is operating properly.  If your backflow device has already been tested and documentation submitted to West Columbia, please disregard the notice.  If you do not have a system that requires the installation of a backflow prevention device, please notify the City so that the records may be updated.
