West Columbia Beautification Foundation to Hold 3rd Annual Tribute for Trees on September 12, 2017

West Columbia, SC (August 24, 2017 at 2:05 PM) – The West Columbia Beautification Foundation will hold its 3rd Annual Tribute for Trees Fundraiser on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the West Columbia City Hall, 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC, from 5:00pm – 7:30pm. Funds raised at the Tribute for Trees will be used to purchase trees to complete the plantings on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia. (A suggested $200 donation will purchase one tree.)

Chairperson Melissa Sprouse Brown said, “We are very excited to take this event to the next level. The local author fair is a nice addition to the Beautification Foundation efforts to increase the reach of our organization.”

The celebration includes Hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, entertainment by Bob Michalski, the Sax Man, and wine/beer. Meet local authors, elected officials, and emcee Joe Pinner. By purchasing a tree, you can personally make a difference in our community. New this year: Local Author Fair! One of the wonderful products we get from trees is paper. Come out and meet local writers who put paper to good use! Books from several genres will be available. Get your autographed copies while helping make West Columbia a more beautiful place.
