West Columbia City Council Elects Councilman Temus C. “Tem” Miles, Jr. as Mayor Pro-Tem

West Columbia, SC (December 6, 2017 at 10:45 AM) — The City of West Columbia City Council elected Councilman Temus C. “Tem” Miles, Jr. as Mayor Pro-Tem at the December Regular Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Mayor Bobby Horton said, “We look forward to working with him and value his support as the second in command on Council.”

Mayor Pro-Tem Miles was elected by Special Election on November 5, 2013 and re-elected on November 3, 2015 to represent District 4. The election of a Mayor Pro-Tem carries a two year term.

The City of West Columbia is situated along eight miles of the beautiful lower Saluda and Congaree Rivers. Known for being friendly, welcoming, and affordable, the city also has top-level schools and a myriad of dining and shopping options, as well as exemplary health care options that are within a three-mile radius.
