West Columbia City Council Unanimously Passes Redistricting Map Based on 2020 US Census Results

West Columbia, SC (Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 1:37 PM) – West Columbia City Council unanimously passed the redistricting map after a public hearing and the second reading at the Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. After receiving and reviewing data from the 2020 US Census, the City of West Columbia reviewed district boundaries to balance the number of residents between West Columbia Council Districts. The new district lines have been reviewed by the South Carolina Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs and meet the standards of demographic balance and districting block requirements.
