West Columbia Monday Sanitation Route Change Due to Lexington County Landfill Closing
West Columbia, SC (September 9, 2017 at 1:25 PM) – The City of West Columbia Sanitation Department will not collect household garbage, recycling, or yard trash on Monday, September 11, 2017, due to the Lexington County Landfill closing in preparation of Hurricane Irma. On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, Sanitation will collect the Monday route household garbage and recycling and the Tuesday route household garbage. Please do not put your roll carts and bins out until Tuesday morning to keep the garbage contained. As the storm approaches, based on its path, routes may be adjusted accordingly.
