West Columbia, SC (October 31, 2019, at 5:22 PM) — The West Columbia Police Department (WCPD) is getting hairy to raise money for the West Columbia Police Officers Foundation and Serve and Connect for No Shave November.
Members of the public and surrounding communities are encouraged to donate money to support the WCPD team to continue growing their beards and goatees. Donations can be mailed or delivered to: WCPOF, Attn: Sergeant David Myers, P.O. Box 4044, West Columbia, SC 29171.
Assistant Chief Scott Morrison said, “It is a great way to raise money for two worthy causes and also allow our officers to do something that is out of the norm and fun for our Department. I encourage others in the community to support our officers by donating “.
Beginning Friday, November 1, 2019, members of WCPD will begin growing their beards or goatees and donating $1 a day to raise money for the West Columbia Police Officers Foundation and Serve and Connect.
