Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Suspects Arrested
(West Columbia, S.C.) – The West Columbia Police Department has arrested Stanley Russ Carter, W/M, 53 years of age, from 2345 Robin Crest Drive in West Columbia and Joseph Charles Tice, W/M, 50 years of age, from 2510 Laurel Street in Columbia, for two counts of Kidnapping and Assault & Battery 1st Degree, and one count each of Armed Robbery, Grand Larceny, Criminal Conspiracy, and Financial Transaction Card Theft.
On June 29, 2015 at approximately 10:50 a.m. at 2345 Robin Crest Drive in West Columbia, while armed with a hammer Mr. Carter and Mr. Tice demanded money from Mr. Carter’s parents. After the male victim was tied up, Mr. Carter forced his mother to drive to the bank and withdraw $3000.
Both suspects were arrested on 6-30-2015 and are at the Lexington County Detention Center.
