Fundraiser for West Columbia Police Officer Shot and Injured in Line of Duty Scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2015

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – On March 31, 2015, West Columbia Police Officer, James “Trip” Holland, was shot and injured in the line of duty. Officer Holland has been recovering since that time. Tomorrow, April 16th, a fundraiser is being held to honor and benefit Officer Holland and his family.
“While each of our West Columbia Police Officers risk their lives to keep our community, our families, and our business safe, Officer Holland’s efforts and sacrifice in apprehending a criminal who had terrorized our community shows tremendous bravery. We are so thankful for Officer Holland, his ongoing recovery, and return back to our police force. I hope that many people across the Midlands will join me tomorrow to honor Officer Holland,” stated West Columbia City Councilman, Tem Miles.
