West Columbia’s Fall Back Fest is Tonight + Trick-or-Treating

By November 1, 2019Headlines

The City of West Columbia invites you to the 4th Annual Fall Back Fest on the 100 Block of State Street, West Columbia, SC, tonight, Friday, November 1, 2019, from 6 PM – 9 PM. The Meeting Street Artisan Market will be open for a special night edition to kick off the holiday shopping season. Businesses on State Street will have specials for the event in conjunction with the November State Street Art Crawl and will be handing out candy to children dressed in costumes. Come enjoy the beautiful view, dine, shop, stroll, and immerse yourself in art!

The event features live music from the Free Times 2019 Best Local Band, Prettier Than Matt, and food and beverages from Haute Dog Lady and NKOS (New Brookland Tavern), Café Strudel, State Street Pub, Terra, and WECO Bottle and Biergarten (Phill Blair of the Whig). Since the bad weather prevented many children from Trick-or-Treating last night, stores and vendors will have candy to pass out to children dressed in costumes, so have them bring their candy buckets.

The following live mural artists will be painting on State Street:

Christine Lutfy
Laura Day
Cait Maloney
Lindsay R. Wiggins
BA Hohman
Alicia Leeke
Gina Langston Brewer
Amanda Ladymon

Kate Batten, a caricaturist, and Justin Vorhis, with his forge, will round out the talented artisans on State Street.

We encourage guests to enjoy responsibly and call an Uber, Lyft (For $5 off your ride, Lyft: FALLBACKFEST19, Uber: EK99LE9) or a taxi if needed. Guests can also catch a ride on the COMET or Soda Cap Connector.

Road Closures
Traffic will be reduced to one lane from the 100 – 200 Blocks of State Street beginning at 12 PM on Friday, November 1, 2019, in preparation for the event. At 4 PM until approximately 10 PM, State Street will be closed from Center Street to Court Avenue.
